WELCOME to Linear Photographs, a photographic agency formed in 1975 and owned by photographer Brian Young of New Zealand.


Linear Photographs speciality is International Motorsport photography. Visit our galleries for photographs featuring international racing from the 1980's through to today.


Linear's main customer base is in Japan, Asia and Australia working for advertising and PR agencies, car manufacturers and motor-sports magazines. Our clients include Japanese companies Nissan, Mitsubishi, Playstation Entertainment, Sankaido Publishing, Amana Images and advertising agencies Standard Advertising and Tokyo Eizosha. In China and Hong Kong we are represented by Octagon-Prism, a PR agency based in Hong Kong and Beijing.


All forms of motorsport are covered by our photographers including the World Rally Championship and the Asia Pacific Rally Championship. On the Race Track Linear Photographs covers most major motor-racing in the Asia-Pacific area including Bathurst, Macau Grand Prix, South East Asia Touring Cars and Asia Formula 2000.


For deadline news Linear Photographs is able to beam digitised photos around the world to news and picture agencies. When necessary the services of other photographic companies are employed to bring outside expertise to a specific assignment.  The company has focused on motorsport as its primary business, with car rallying a major part of that work. Assignments have taken Linear photographers to Africa, USA, Europe and Asia. 


Linear Photographs has worked in other areas of action sports photography including whitewater rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, athletics, multisport, aircraft and helicopter photography.
